The short version. FlipSort is a puzzle game that runs on your phone. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name or email. Two things leave your phone: the request the game makes to Google AdMob to fetch an ad, and a small anonymous record of which levels are started and finished, which tells us where the game is too hard. That second one you can switch off in the game's Settings, and it is never tied to your identity.

FlipSort saves the following locally, in the app's own storage, so that you can close the game and pick it back up:
None of this is transmitted anywhere. It is not backed up to us, it is not linked to any identity, and it is deleted when you uninstall the app.
One thing, and only in the aggregate: anonymous gameplay counters, so we can see where players get stuck and fix it. When the game starts a level, finishes one, fails one, or a flip is used, it records that fact and sends it to a server we run ourselves at auratech.it.com. Each record contains:
That identifier is 16 random characters. It is not your advertising ID, it is not derived from your device or your Google account, and it cannot be used to contact or identify you. It exists only so that a question like "how many different players reached level 3" has an answer rather than counting the same player twice.
We do not log or store your IP address with these records, we do not store your device model or operating system, and we use no third-party analytics service — no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Facebook SDK. The data goes only to us.
You can turn this off. Open Settings inside the game and switch off Share anonymous stats. Nothing further is sent from that moment on. The game plays identically either way.
FlipSort is free and is paid for by ads. The game shows a banner, occasional full-screen ads between levels, and optional rewarded videos that you choose to watch in exchange for a hint or coins. These are served by Google AdMob, and serving them requires your device to contact Google.
For that purpose Google may process your device's advertising ID, general device and app information, coarse location derived from your IP address, and data about ads shown to you. Google acts as an independent controller of that data. What Google does with it is described in its own policies:
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows you a Google-certified consent form the first time you open it, and your choice there governs whether ads are personalised. You can reopen that choice at any time from the game's Settings.
Everywhere else, you can limit ad tracking on Android through Settings → Privacy → Ads, where you can delete or reset your advertising ID. The game will still work; the ads simply become less relevant.
FlipSort is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children, and because we collect nothing at all, there is nothing for a parent to request the deletion of. If you believe a child has been shown personalised advertising in error, contact us and we will help you address it with Google.
Since we hold no personal data about you, there is no account to access, export or delete on our side. To remove everything FlipSort has stored, uninstall the app or use Reset all progress in the game's Settings. For anything held by Google in connection with advertising, use the Google links above or reset your advertising ID.
FlipSort requests internet access, which is used only to fetch ads, and vibration, which is used for haptic feedback while you play. It does not request your camera, microphone, contacts, files, or precise location.
If we ever change how FlipSort handles data — for example by adding analytics — we will update this page and change the date at the top before the new version of the app is released. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
